South Texas Equality Project, a partnership of LGBT organizations and individuals focused on advocacy and visibility of the LGBT community, announced that the 4th annual PRIDE in the Park will take place on Saturday, Nov. 26 at the McAllen Convention Center.
This year’s theme is “Out, Strong, and Proud.” PRIDE in the Park will include live musical guests, drag performances, loteria joteria, a pride theme costume contest, giveaways, local vendors, and an opportunity to get to know local LGBTQ organizations.
In 2015, the event drew in more than 2,000 people from across the Rio Grande Valley, making it the largest LGBTQ centered event in Valley history.
The family and pet friendly event’s admission fee is $2 (children 12 and under enter free) and begins at 1 PM.
